The Night has Halloween Syndication Offer

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

Los Angeles, CA – May 24, 2011 – Global Entertainment Holdings (OTCQB/BB:GBHL) announced today that Global Universal Pictures (Global Universal), a partially owned Canadian affiliate, has received a syndication television offer for The Night, currently in post production.

“We already have an offer for Halloween week, so we are diligently working to finish the film for delivery this Fall”, states Producer Jackie Giroux. “The trailer can be seen on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/user/globalgbhl#p/u/0/HbnU4M4NN5c, and will soon make its debut on the film’s new website at: http://www.TheNightTheMovie.com.

The Night, filmed in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada, continues the blueprint of success which has become a bankable trademark of Global Universal. The Company strives to combine a favorable mix of tax credits (offsetting a significant portion of production costs), named talent and quality distribution partners to develop, produce and market quality feature-length films.

“Wow! Was it cold”, commented co-star Lalesha Railsback, daughter of veteran actor Steve Railsback. “But this being a ghost story, the cast and crew took full advantage of those creepy locations at 3 am, so the film is sure to be scary!”

In addition to Lalesha Railsback, The Night features Syfy television star Lex Gigeroff, Jimmy McKinley, Angele Bourgeous, Trevor Richardson and featuring 10-year old Ian Hamrick as the ghost “Rodney.” Canadian director, Shari Hamrick and Executive Producer Trevor Richardson, both of the Canadian Company Alianza Films International in Vancouver, BC., participated in financing. GBHL CEO, Gary Rasmussen, is co-executive producer, with Giroux as writer, and Ben Martin as producer.

Global Entertainment Holdings Announces “Plaster Rock” Now Available on DVD

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

December 22, 2010, Los Angeles, CA — Global Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB: GBHL) announces the commercial release of the latest movie, “Plaster Rock – Terror on the Tobique”, produced by its Canadian affiliate, Global Universal Pictures. The film is being released by another subsidiary, Global Universal Film Group. “We are excited to be releasing this film to the public”, stated GBHL CEO, Gary Rasmussen. He continued “revenues from the release of American Sunset are being realized in this fiscal quarter and now Plaster Rock will ramp up revenues in the first quarter of 2011. Our previous film, American Sunset, starring the late Corey Haim, is scheduled to be released as an AppFlik on Apple iTunes before year end and, depending on how well it is received, we will also consider releasing Plaster Rock as an AppFlik.” The Plaster Rock DVD, along with a Free Plaster Rock Hat, is now available at: www.PlasterRockMovie.com.

“Plaster Rock – Terror On The Tobique”– Based upon events that actually occurred near the filming location, four young men and women are boated into a hunting lodge in the wilds of northern New Brunswick, Canada to partake in a cross country ski race in which the winner will reap a cash prize of $250,000. Each contestant is a former athlete or high-profile celebrity who has already received a deposit of $25,000 for their time just to travel and enter the race in the desolate area known as “Plaster Rock.” The only problem is, once left at the lodge by boat, there is no way out, and each contestant begins to realize they have more at stake than the cash prize.

Plaster Rock is a fast-paced thriller-horror film which takes place in remote wilderness where you need more than luck to survive!

Jackie Giroux, the film’s co-creator and director, commented, “…the use of a professional magician as an integral part of a films’ plot is very rare. What makes our film unique is, we utilized the world renown talents of Peter Loughran, Master of Illusions. Peter has created original Illusions for top magicians around the world including Criss Angel for the popular television program called “MindFreak!” Peter gives an amazing performance in Plaster Rock.”

Peter Loughran states, “It was really a thrill for me to take a break from designing magic and illusions, and sharpen my acting skills to become one of the central characters in “Plaster Rock.” My character was based on one of the oldest unsolved mysteries in New Brunswick, so it was equally challenging to research ‘this very real psycho’ and sink my teeth into a very meaty role, while creating many of the illusions in the film..” Peter’s site www.masterofillusions.ca has over three thousand fans.

The femme fatale, Lalesha Railsback, is no stranger to horror films, since her father, veteran actor Steve Railsback, played Charles Manson, of the critically acclaimed film Helter Skelter. Ms. Railsback commented, “My dad has always been a method actor, and I have learned so much from his days at The Actors Studio.” Lalesha has been acting since she was fifteen years old, and co starred in movies such as Coo Coo Cafe with Barbara Carrera (directed by her Mom, Jackie Giroux), and The Mondavi Gang, which she co-directed. Most recently, she co-stars in another Global Universal film produced by Jackie Giroux, and currently in post production, The Night, which is due to be released in February of 2011. “Global Universal has been so dedicated to the up coming new talent, and enabled us to work together as a family, which is rare in the film business today”, added Lalesha Railsback.

Plaster Rock had a limited theatrical release at the Grand Falls Cinema Three, with Iron Man 2 and Nightmare on Elm Street, in May of 2010. Both Kirk Davidson, of K-93 FM Radio, and Kelsey McDonald of The Victoria Star News, gave Plaster Rock very favorable reviews.

Director Michael Masucci Recognized By Global Entertainment Holdings For His Outstanding Work On American Sunset

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

GBHL announced today that the Company is recognizing Film Director, Michael Masucci, for his outstanding job performance as Director of “American Sunset”, an exhilarating film starring the late Corey Haim and Frank Molina.

(I-Newswire) Los Angles, CA, November 17, 2010 – Global Entertainment Holdings (OTCBB: GBHL) announced today that the Company is recognizing Film Director, Michael Masucci, for his outstanding job performance as Director of “American Sunset”, an exhilarating film starring the late Corey Haim and Frank Molina.

“I am very happy about how the film is being received;” stated Michael Masucci, Director. He continued; “from fantastic responses at the film festivals at: AFM (American Film Market), Silver Wave Film Festival, and Cannes International Film Festival to the exit reviews at the film’s limited theatrical release in Canada and the USA, I am elated.” And now it is available to the public on DVD and Blu-ray. Since Corey passed away there has been an outcry from his fans inquiring how they can obtain the movie; “it’s fulfilling to see that they are at last getting their chance.”

“We see it as ‘small town boy does well’ kind of story” stated Global Universal’s Jackie Giroux; speaking of Masucci. We are very proud of his work and wanted to give him the public recognition he deserves.
For Masucci the road to the director’s chair began shortly after earning his BA from The University of Scranton, in Scranton Pennsylvania. He enrolled into the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute. He would appear as an actor in a series of commercials, Off Broadway plays, and low budget feature films where he began working behind the camera as well. “I learned about the art of filmmaking by working and watching other filmmakers while on the set, it was a tremendous learning curve. I got to the point where I had worked in every facet of the filmmaking process both in front and behind the camera and the next natural step for me, was to direct.”

American Sunset is a thriller about a husband who awakens to find his wife missing followed by a call from an elusive character with a mysterious voice asking, “Wanna play a game?” The game is simple: a clue, a riddle, and a life hanging in the balance. The film unravels a mysterious conspiracy with numerous spellbinding maneuvers revolving around a kidnapping ploy to rob a devoted husband of his true love, while playing a game that prolongs her safety by correctly responding to riddles, which if to replied incorrectly, will surely result in fatal consequences.

The Movie, American Sunset, produced by Global Universal Pictures, in cooperation with Global Entertainment Holdings, is NOW AVAILABLE in DVD and Blu-Ray formats on the film’s Official website:
www.AmericanSunsetTheMovie.com, as well as the Company’s Tribure to Corey Haim website: www.CoreyHaimRemembered.com.

Global Entertainment Holdings recently announced that it has retained Level 4 Stonehenge Development Partners to implement its new technology, an advanced streaming technology for video distribution, called AppFlik™, that will offer American Sunset for download on Apple’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) iTunes App Store. The Company expects that American Sunset will be one of the first of many films that it will bring to the world using this state-of-the-art technology.

“I’m truly grateful to all the executives over at Global Universal and I just hope that American Sunset continues to be successful and people buy the DVD, and support the movie. We had a crew of roughly 60 people on American Sunset, and the film is a testament to the talent and hard work of the crew, which are all deserving of paramount recognition. I anticipate that the film will continue to do very well for us all.” Stated Masucci.
Michael Masucci has several Film and TV projects in development, slated for 2011.

American Sunset DVD also includes in the Bonus features, – The Behind the scenes making of American Sunset, the theatrical trailer, and a musical tribute to the cast and crew. You can find it at www.globaluniversal.com.

Global Universal Successfully Enters Online DVD Sales With Popular Demand For American Sunset

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

GLOBAL UNIVERSAL SUCCESSFULLY ENTERS ONLINE DVD SALES WITH POPULAR DEMAND FOR AMERICAN SUNSET

Oct. 13, 2010 Los Angeles, CA – (WORLD STOCK WIRE) – Global Entertainment Holdings, Inc. a publicly traded entertainment Company (OTCBB: GBHL), and its Canadian affiliate, Global Universal Pictures (“Global Pictures”), announces the on-line distribution of the Company’s action thriller, American Sunset, exclusively on the film’s website: www.AmericanSunsetTheMovie.com, operated by Global Universal Film Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GBHL.

Due to an overwhelming demand from moviegoers, predominantly the late Corey Haim’s loyal fan base, Global Universal has launched the Company’s DVD sales division. With the Company having experienced a number of orders far in excess of what it had anticipated, just on the first day of availability, it was necessary for the Company to outsource the production of additional copies of the film.

“As is frequently the case with mainstream Hollywood, the movie has met its fair share of resistance. Corey Haim was a much admired Child Actor and Teen Heartthrob. His extraordinary talent was well recognized by distinguished critics at a very young age, firmly planting the establishment of his persona as the adorable little boy next door.” stated Jackie Giroux, American Sunset’s Producer.

“It’s well known how unforgiving Hollywood can be to grown up child stars, but the fans emphatically embrace him still… We have received abundant correspondence demanding an opportunity to see his final contribution to the film industry and the world. In the exclusive behind the scenes footage, Corey stated “I Want Everyone to See This Movie”, and his public will now have the opportunity to enjoy his exceptional performance in American Sunset. It is in his memory, and with this resolve that we move forward, passionately, to make this production, and others still to come, a smashing success.” concluded Ms. Giroux.

The Highly Acclaimed Film, American Sunset, features Corey Haim in his final performance as an adult leading actor. “Corey brought American Sunset to life with his outstanding performance.” stated Gary Rasmussen, CEO of Global Universal Film Group. He continues: “Between the talented cast, the exceptional directing, and the spellbinding plot of this film, it leaves nothing to be desired but a need to watch it again. We expect our internet sales to reflect these factors, as the popularity of this film continues to grow.”

American Sunset unravels a mysterious conspiracy with numerous spellbinding plot twists revolving around a kidnapping ploy that robs a devoted husband of his true love, while playing a game that prolongs her safety by correctly responding to the kidnapper’s riddles. One wrong answer means fatal consequences. As the pursuit to save his wife plunges Haim’s character deeper into a corrupt world, the greedy, deceptive and immoral motives become increasingly obvious; this is not just a random kidnapping for money, this is deadly personal.

The Movie, American Sunset, is NOW AVAILABLE in DVD and Blu-ray for distribution worldwide on the film’s Official website: www.AmericanSunsetTheMovie.com. Please visit the site and view the trailer.

This was the final step towards commencing activities under a Joint Venture company formed last October with GREG called “Global Renaissance Funding” (GRF). GRF is 51% owned by Global Entertainment Holdings and will endeavor to raise capital for a slate of films to be jointly produced by GREG and Global Universal Entertainment, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GBHL, and with Global Universal Pictures, its 30% owned Canadian affiliate.

Gary Rasmussen, CEO for Global Entertainment Holdings, remarked that, “With the finalization of our Share Exchange agreement, Global Entertainment Holdings now owns an equity interest in GREG, an indirectly in the Omar Tyree properties, and GREG is now a significant shareholder in our public company, GBHL, providing both GREG and GBHL with a vested interest in one another.”

Last year, Mr. Wylie and Omar Tyree, the New York Times bestselling author, whose works have been read by millions, structured an exclusive deal to adapt his popular novels into film. Leslie, a supernatural thriller set in New Orleans, along with his best seller Flyy Girl are the first of Tyree’s novels to be adapted to film by GREG and to be funded through GRF. Omar Tyree books have been sold and read by over 8 million people. Leslie and loyal Flyy Girl readers will provide a “built-in” audience for the film.

Leslie is intended to be just one of several films planned for production this Fall at the newly formed Wylie Studios in Southeastern Michigan. Arthur Wylie, CEO of GREG, has begun securing production rights from many of Hollywood’s super-producers to produce high quality productions with better pricing. Plans are to operate from the 104-acre studio complex, which is located in the City of Allen Park, just ten miles outside of Detroit, Michigan, until they secure a more permanent site for their productions. What is now the studio complex was formerly the headquarters and warehouses of Montgomery Ward.

The vertical integration of the studio into the production structure of GRF and Global Universal will facilitate many upcoming film productions with reduced labor rates, hefty tax incentives from Michigan and enhanced production scheduling. “This paves the way for our companies to commence working on raising capital and starting the production of films in Michigan”, stated Gary Rasmussen, GBHL CEO.

A recent article in Crains Detroit Business News attests to the fact that Arthur Wylie and GREG have established a major presence in Allen Park, Michigan. “I believe that all businesses must get back to the fundamentals of business, financing and protecting investors’ equity, by utilizing a more efficient combination of debt, equity and tax incentives than typically structured by Hollywood”, stated Arthur Wylie, GREG CEO.

GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT HOLDINGS ACQUIRES RIGHTS TO SUPERNATURAL THRILLER “SEEING THINGS”

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

Los Angeles, CA – (WORLD STOCK WIRE) – June 14, 2010 — Global Entertainment Holdings, Inc. a publicly traded entertainment Company (OTC: GBHL), and Global Universal Entertainment, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GBHL, announced today that it has purchased the film production, distribution, merchandising and licensing rights for “Seeing Things”, a supernatural thriller based on actual events, written by John Huckert and John Matkowsky.

Huckert is set to Direct the supernatural thriller with Matkowsky as his Director of Photographer. Eric A. Leffler, Director of Business Development for Global Universal Film Group, and Gary Rasmussen, CEO GBHL, are the Executive Producers.

GBHL CEO and Executive Producer, Gary Rasmussen said “We are very excited about acquiring Seeing Things for our next feature film production and plans are under way to begin production this Fall in Michigan. Given the worldwide mass appeal of films in this genre, like Paranormal Activity and Blair Witch (with estimated budgets under $100,000 and gross revenues of well beyond $100 Million), I believe Seeing Things will have an excellent chance of success at the box office.”
“Seeing Things is a Ghost story that is based on actually events that are truly amazing and well documented by the Fox TV reality show SIGHTINGS, renowned spiritualist and psychic Peter James, as well as by the many photographs taken by Huckert and Matkowsky. If you had any doubts about the afterlife, then you need to see this story”, says Executive Producer Eric A. Leffler, Director of Business Development for Global Universal Film Group.

In late 1992, two residents living in an old house in the Hills of Los Angeles begin receiving ghostly messages in Polaroid photographs. The pair took many photos inside the house in the hopes of obtaining a picture of the entity they believed haunted the house. Eventually, ghostly images appeared and the men soon discovered that if they asked questions about the entity and why it inhabited their house, words and messages appeared on the photos in response. Since the first messages appeared, many thousands of photos have captured the spirit’s messages on a variety of subjects of interest to mankind. Additional information on Seeing Things can be found at: http://www.drkrm.com/ghost2.html

Daniel Sherkow, COO of Global Universal Entertainment, further commented “Our financing methods, which significantly mitigate investment risk, have certainly been proven sound. Four major motion pictures financed and completed in just eighteen months in this uncertain economy speaks volumes as to our development strategy. The strong interest in our Murder/Horror thriller Plaster Rock, has shown us that this genre is desired by a large segment of the movie-going population. I won’t give away too much of the movie but Seeing Things is based on actual happenings over the past 18 years.”

The state of Michigan has made available tax credits which will underwrite a significant portion of the cost of the production of Seeing Things. GBHL’s first four motion pictures were produced in Canada using the same tax credit, leveraged financing strategy.

It’s A Wrap! Plaster Rock, Global Entertainment Holdings’ Third Feature Film of 2009, Completes Production!

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Los Angeles, CA – (WORLD STOCK WIRE) – December 22, 2009 — Global Entertainment Holdings, Inc. a publicly traded entertainment Company (OTCBB: GBHL), and Global Universal Pictures, a partially owned subsidiary of GBHL, announced production completion of their third feature-length, motion picture for 2009, Plaster Rock.

GBHL CEO, Gary Rasmussen, stated “Our unique financing strategy coupled with an experienced production team has certainly been proved to be a winning combination. Three major motion pictures financed and completed in just over twelve months in this uncertain economy speaks volumes as to our development strategy. Our first two pictures, Blue Seduction starring Billy Zane and Estella Warren and American Sunset starring Corey Haim have been successful and we expect continued success and profitability with the Murder/Horror thriller Plaster Rock.

Global Universal Pictures, an affiliated GBHL company, is engaged in the production of high quality, genre pictures with recognizable name talent. Jackelyn Giroux, President of Global Universal Pictures and the writer, producer and director of the movie said “Filming Plaster Rock in the wilderness at the New Brunswick location where the actual events of the true story took place adds to the “magic” we believe the audience will experience when they see this entertaining thriller.”

Adding to the excitement of filming the entire production around the remote Tobique River is the variety of talent starring in Plaster Rock. Lead actress in the film playing the former Miss America beauty Michelle is Jessica Holt. Fresh off her success starring in the award winning short film, A Dark Radius, Ms. Holt is a leading lady of many talents. A successful script writer, she is “at home” on both sides of the camera. Jessica is a skilled carpenter and experienced in the art and props departments. Skilled in special effects she is also a “Gun Wrangler” (set firearm specialist).

Christine Johnson starring as the vivacious Roxy also brought many talents to the Plaster Rock set. Christine is not only an accomplished actress she is a singer/songwriter, model and trained dancer in hip hop, jazz, modern and ballet. Fluent in English and French, she is one of many New Brunswick natives appearing in Plaster Rock.
