LOS ANGELES, Aug. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Global Entertainment Holdings (OTCBB: GBHL) announced today that Global Universal Film Group’s presentation of “AMERICAN SUNSET”, starring Corey Haim and Frank Molina, will be playing at The Louisville International Film Festival from October 6th through October 9th, 2011.

“We are so proud of the late Corey Haim’s performance in this thriller,” stated Jackie Giroux, the writer and one of the producers of the film. “In the Behind the Scenes for AMERICAN SUNSET, Corey stated that he hoped he would be recognized by his peers for his performance in AMERICAN SUNSET, so we wish to thank the entire committee, including Conrad Bachmann and Brett Bachmann, for playing this film at The Louisville International Film Festival this year.”

“Veteran Actress and Entertainer Lily Tomlin will be placed in the ‘Walk of Fame’ at the Galt House on October 6th to open the Film Festival, so we feel honored to be a part of this prestigious film festival,” commented Gary Rasmussen, CEO of Global Entertainment Holdings. “We look forward to meeting Kentucky film makers at the Louisville Film Festival, as co-star Frank Molina and Director Michael Masucci will be in attendance to answer any questions about AMERICAN SUNSET or Corey Haim.” Gary Rasmussen and Eric Leffler are the Executive Producers of the Corey Haim film AMERICAN SUNSET.

Dan Sherkow, COO of Global Universal Entertainment continued: “Members of our production team, plus Corey Haim’s co-star, Frank Molina, will be in attendance at The Louisville International Film Festival, which provides grants to help fund educational efforts focused on training film makers of tomorrow in Metro Louisville and the commonwealth of Kentucky.”

AMERICAN SUNSET was directed by Michael Masucci in New Brunswick, Canada, and also co-stars Bernie Robichaud of TRAILER PARK BOYS fame. Corey Haim and Frank Molina play two unlikely characters who would have never met except through the unfortunate kidnapping of Haim’s wife, played by Angela Cullins. Haim has 24 hours to find his wife, with the assistance of Molina’s character. Corey Haim was just beginning to promote the film, when he contracted pneumonia and suddenly died. Global Universal had so many fans begging to see the film that it decided to offer a DVD of the film directly to Haim’s fans through a special Global website, as no distribution plans have yet been made out of respect for Haim’s untimely death.

NEW DISTRIBUTION DIVISION TO BE HELMED BY MEDIA EXECUTIVE, BOBBIE STONE

Los Angeles, CA – (August 2, 2011) – Global Entertainment Holdings (OTCQB / OTCBB: GBHL) announced today that its sales and distribution subsidiary, Global Universal Film Group, Inc. is expanding the Distribution Division to reach new ground in the distribution of media content for the Company. The Distribution Division will be helmed by Bobbie Stone who will oversee new content acquisitions, exploitation of new media markets, and worldwide licensing of the Company’s films through traditional media.

Bobbie Stone is a renowned distributor and producer/director with more than 20 years experience in the creation, licensing, acquisition, and distribution of independent films and online media content in the global marketplace. Through the years, Ms. Stone has produced or executive produced over 250 special interest video and TV productions which have had wide release.

“We are thrilled to have a talent with the caliber of Bobbie Stone join the Global Universal family,” Stated Gary Rasmussen, CEO of GBHL. He continued “with Global’s current film library, new acquisitions, New Media markets, worldwide licensing, and our exclusive brands such as “You’ve Got the Part” talent contest to oversee, she will have many opportunities to use her extensive talents. We are excited to expand our content to a variety of media channels that reaches more markets and expands business.”

Bobbie gained valuable knowledge in television broadcasting and production at a local television station. She then became VP of an independent broadcast network where she produced or was floor director of TV productions in the studio. The company then opened an office on Madison Avenue for Stone to run the marketing, sales, and distribution division for the network. Meanwhile Ms. Stone sharpened her production skills while attending New York School of Visual Arts majoring in filmmaking and directing. The next level of her career was in DVD as the exclusive sales agent for a large DVD distributor. Ms. Stone handled the 2,000 title catalog of movies, documentaries, lifestyle and special interest content for release to DVD, TV and ancillary media worldwide. While there she also produced straight to DVD content in a production output deal with the studio. The next stage was to open her own distribution company, Indie Vision Films, where she licensed hundreds of independent films for release in the global marketplace on TV, broadband, and DVD.

Ms. Stone took her experience to the New Media marketplace with the production of original lifestyle webisodes, the development of an Internet TV network, and the marketing, syndication, and streaming of content in the New Media arena.

As a film distributor and sales agent Bobbie has represented thousands of indie films and video content in the DVD, TV, and Broadband market worldwide.

Los Angeles, CA – May 25, 2011 – Global Entertainment Holdings (OTCQB/BB:GBHL) announced today that the “You’ve Got The Part” division of its Global Universal Film Group subsidiary is beginning a new casting contest, June 1, 2011. The prize is a role in Global Universal Entertainment’s newly announced film. Mr. Pink. http://www.youvegotthepart.com/

“Mr. Pink is expected to be a big hit, so landing a role in the film could be the “big break” most actors hope for”, stated Jackie Giroux, the creator of the site, and one of the writers and producers of the film. This is a reality contest with elimination levels. Audition “sides” will be available June 1st, and posted on the “You’ve Got The Part website”. Any one and every one is eligible to sign up on www.youvegotthepart.com, and upload your video take as instructed.

Following in the footsteps of other successful talent and singing contests, there will be multiple levels of eliminations. However, auditions will be viewed by everyone on the internet, so in addition to discovering new talent; there will be tons of fun, watching yourself or someone else!

Every audition will be available for the world to watch; no matter how good, bad, sad or funny. But the grand prize may launch a new movie career. In 2009, Ernie Trombley was discovered on www.youvegotthepart.comand acted opposite Corey Haim in Global Universal’s film, American Sunset. Based upon Ernie’s success as an actor, plus a television pilot which was generated from the show, Global Universal decided to launch the casting contest again. “There are so many great roles in Mr. Pink, for people of all ages, so I think it is time we bring Hollywood to the doorsteps of fresh new talent, rather than demanding that talent comes to Hollywood in the traditional approach,” commented Ms. Giroux. The casting contest begins June 1st, but you can jump start your audition by going to www.youvegotthepart.comand signing up for the newsletter list; this way you will receive all the tips and be well informed as the film contest progresses.

Los Angeles, CA – May 24, 2011 – Global Entertainment Holdings (OTCQB/BB:GBHL) announced today that Global Universal Pictures (Global Universal), a partially owned Canadian affiliate, has received a syndication television offer for The Night, currently in post production.

“We already have an offer for Halloween week, so we are diligently working to finish the film for delivery this Fall”, states Producer Jackie Giroux. “The trailer can be seen on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/user/globalgbhl#p/u/0/HbnU4M4NN5c, and will soon make its debut on the film’s new website at: http://www.TheNightTheMovie.com.

The Night, filmed in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada, continues the blueprint of success which has become a bankable trademark of Global Universal. The Company strives to combine a favorable mix of tax credits (offsetting a significant portion of production costs), named talent and quality distribution partners to develop, produce and market quality feature-length films.

“Wow! Was it cold”, commented co-star Lalesha Railsback, daughter of veteran actor Steve Railsback. “But this being a ghost story, the cast and crew took full advantage of those creepy locations at 3 am, so the film is sure to be scary!”

In addition to Lalesha Railsback, The Night features Syfy television star Lex Gigeroff, Jimmy McKinley, Angele Bourgeous, Trevor Richardson and featuring 10-year old Ian Hamrick as the ghost “Rodney.” Canadian director, Shari Hamrick and Executive Producer Trevor Richardson, both of the Canadian Company Alianza Films International in Vancouver, BC., participated in financing. GBHL CEO, Gary Rasmussen, is co-executive producer, with Giroux as writer, and Ben Martin as producer.

Los Angeles, CA – May 19, 2011 – Global Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB/BB: GBHL) announced today that its US Production subsidiary, Global Universal Entertainment, Inc. has optioned the motion picture and television rights to the recently published book, “Mr. Pink”.

“Mr. Pink is one hot property”, stated Daniel Sherkow, COO of Global Universal Entertainment. “Mr. Pink”, is the true story of four well off college students who pulled off one of the largest heists in the art world. The valuable art books are worth over twelve million dollars!”

Former Paramount Executive Sherkow continued, “the ‘Mr. Pink’ project is an exciting and compelling true story, which is featured on Google under The Transy Book Heist, and more info is at: http://www.whoismrpink.com/. It is timely, teen driven, yet bears a strong moral lesson.”

Veteran writer and film producer Jackie Giroux has adapted the screenplay from Blake Allen and Allen Brothers Publishing. Giroux will produce the picture, along with Blake Allen, Sydney Allen, and Mike Markwell, as Executive Producers. “I read the book in one sitting” exclaimed Giroux. “It is very similar to Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood. If these four very different personalities had not met in college, the ingenious heist idea would have never come to fruition. They fed upon each other’s talents. This will be the fascination for a great Hollywood cast, and a hit film!”

Global Universal expects to shoot a portion of the picture in Kentucky and has begun evaluating locations within that State. In addition, Global Universal is also in conversations with distributors as it explores various distribution options.

Gary Rasmussen, CEO of Global Universal, stated that, “the ‘Mr. Pink’ project has the potential to add significant value to the company due to its potential ‘box office appeal’ and our ability to produce the picture at a comparatively reasonable cost.” Mr. Rasmussen continued, “as an additional revenue stream, Global Universal will share in the proceeds of the book in addition to its participation in the motion picture”.

Los Angeles, CA – (February 24, 2011) – Global Entertainment Holdings (OTCBB: GBHL) announced today that its sales and distribution subsidiary, Global Universal Film Group, has released its feature movie “American Sunset” staring the late Corey Haim as an AppFlik on Apple’s (AAPL) iTunes App store. “AppFlik” is the new embedded application technology for movie distribution from Stonehenge Level4 Development Partners. The application is a FREE download and differs from current streaming resources in that it functions as an embedded movie to prevent piracy. The movie is loaded into an application with social networking capabilities that interact with viewers worldwide. Security against theft is greatly enhanced, there are no streaming or buffering issues, and the delivery is a hi-resolution viewing experience.

According to Gary Rasmussen, CEO of Global Entertainment Holdings, “The digital distribution of movies is highly efficient, cost effective and profitable. Delivery is fantastic – our films will be available to consumers any place, at any time, with no packaging, no shipping or logistics to worry about. Plus, the security features of AppFlik™ solve the challenges of getting safe electronic distribution of our movies.” Mr. Rasmussen continued “it took a little longer than expected to get it on iTunes, but when you download the free app you will see that it was worth the wait! Now that we got through the process for the first film, others should be much faster.” Level 4 Distribution is a digital distribution company engaging new technologies using apps as its new media platform. New media distribution is the next way to monetize content through smart phones, tablets, Google TV, and other new media platforms that use media-rich apps. This ‘fourth-level’ of distribution can be used for both older content that is looking for a new way to bring revenues as well as new content that desires to enhance its market reach.

The AppFlik™ is being marketed initially through iTunes since the very successful iPhone and iPad is currently the viewing screen of choice. However, with the introduction of other platforms (i.e. Google TV, Apple’s iTv, DroidX, etc.), the sky is the limit for this form of digital distribution.

The user’s cost of the app will depend on the amount of layers in the app itself. Starting at 4.99 and up, the apps can be quickly monetized to the content owner since the ROI is higher than other distribution methods. Cost to the content owner is a onetime reasonable cost whether it is a line item on a budget or a onetime fee to build it.

Stonehenge Level4 Development Partners create Apps that help film makers build awareness and broaden their distribution channels. The Apps include the film, as well as rich media features such as digital books, behind the scenes clips, trailers, news, and social media capabilities for mobile devices such as the iPad, iPhone, iTouch, as well as Android phones like the EVO 4g, G3 and Droid.

December 22, 2010, Los Angeles, CA — Global Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB: GBHL) announces the commercial release of the latest movie, “Plaster Rock – Terror on the Tobique”, produced by its Canadian affiliate, Global Universal Pictures. The film is being released by another subsidiary, Global Universal Film Group. “We are excited to be releasing this film to the public”, stated GBHL CEO, Gary Rasmussen. He continued “revenues from the release of American Sunset are being realized in this fiscal quarter and now Plaster Rock will ramp up revenues in the first quarter of 2011. Our previous film, American Sunset, starring the late Corey Haim, is scheduled to be released as an AppFlik on Apple iTunes before year end and, depending on how well it is received, we will also consider releasing Plaster Rock as an AppFlik.” The Plaster Rock DVD, along with a Free Plaster Rock Hat, is now available at: www.PlasterRockMovie.com.

“Plaster Rock – Terror On The Tobique”– Based upon events that actually occurred near the filming location, four young men and women are boated into a hunting lodge in the wilds of northern New Brunswick, Canada to partake in a cross country ski race in which the winner will reap a cash prize of $250,000. Each contestant is a former athlete or high-profile celebrity who has already received a deposit of $25,000 for their time just to travel and enter the race in the desolate area known as “Plaster Rock.” The only problem is, once left at the lodge by boat, there is no way out, and each contestant begins to realize they have more at stake than the cash prize.

Plaster Rock is a fast-paced thriller-horror film which takes place in remote wilderness where you need more than luck to survive!

Jackie Giroux, the film’s co-creator and director, commented, “…the use of a professional magician as an integral part of a films’ plot is very rare. What makes our film unique is, we utilized the world renown talents of Peter Loughran, Master of Illusions. Peter has created original Illusions for top magicians around the world including Criss Angel for the popular television program called “MindFreak!” Peter gives an amazing performance in Plaster Rock.”

Peter Loughran states, “It was really a thrill for me to take a break from designing magic and illusions, and sharpen my acting skills to become one of the central characters in “Plaster Rock.” My character was based on one of the oldest unsolved mysteries in New Brunswick, so it was equally challenging to research ‘this very real psycho’ and sink my teeth into a very meaty role, while creating many of the illusions in the film..” Peter’s site www.masterofillusions.ca has over three thousand fans.

The femme fatale, Lalesha Railsback, is no stranger to horror films, since her father, veteran actor Steve Railsback, played Charles Manson, of the critically acclaimed film Helter Skelter. Ms. Railsback commented, “My dad has always been a method actor, and I have learned so much from his days at The Actors Studio.” Lalesha has been acting since she was fifteen years old, and co starred in movies such as Coo Coo Cafe with Barbara Carrera (directed by her Mom, Jackie Giroux), and The Mondavi Gang, which she co-directed. Most recently, she co-stars in another Global Universal film produced by Jackie Giroux, and currently in post production, The Night, which is due to be released in February of 2011. “Global Universal has been so dedicated to the up coming new talent, and enabled us to work together as a family, which is rare in the film business today”, added Lalesha Railsback.

Plaster Rock had a limited theatrical release at the Grand Falls Cinema Three, with Iron Man 2 and Nightmare on Elm Street, in May of 2010. Both Kirk Davidson, of K-93 FM Radio, and Kelsey McDonald of The Victoria Star News, gave Plaster Rock very favorable reviews.
