Director Michael Masucci Recognized By Global Entertainment Holdings For His Outstanding Work On American Sunset

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

GBHL announced today that the Company is recognizing Film Director, Michael Masucci, for his outstanding job performance as Director of “American Sunset”, an exhilarating film starring the late Corey Haim and Frank Molina.

(I-Newswire) Los Angles, CA, November 17, 2010 – Global Entertainment Holdings (OTCBB: GBHL) announced today that the Company is recognizing Film Director, Michael Masucci, for his outstanding job performance as Director of “American Sunset”, an exhilarating film starring the late Corey Haim and Frank Molina.

“I am very happy about how the film is being received;” stated Michael Masucci, Director. He continued; “from fantastic responses at the film festivals at: AFM (American Film Market), Silver Wave Film Festival, and Cannes International Film Festival to the exit reviews at the film’s limited theatrical release in Canada and the USA, I am elated.” And now it is available to the public on DVD and Blu-ray. Since Corey passed away there has been an outcry from his fans inquiring how they can obtain the movie; “it’s fulfilling to see that they are at last getting their chance.”

“We see it as ‘small town boy does well’ kind of story” stated Global Universal’s Jackie Giroux; speaking of Masucci. We are very proud of his work and wanted to give him the public recognition he deserves.
For Masucci the road to the director’s chair began shortly after earning his BA from The University of Scranton, in Scranton Pennsylvania. He enrolled into the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute. He would appear as an actor in a series of commercials, Off Broadway plays, and low budget feature films where he began working behind the camera as well. “I learned about the art of filmmaking by working and watching other filmmakers while on the set, it was a tremendous learning curve. I got to the point where I had worked in every facet of the filmmaking process both in front and behind the camera and the next natural step for me, was to direct.”

American Sunset is a thriller about a husband who awakens to find his wife missing followed by a call from an elusive character with a mysterious voice asking, “Wanna play a game?” The game is simple: a clue, a riddle, and a life hanging in the balance. The film unravels a mysterious conspiracy with numerous spellbinding maneuvers revolving around a kidnapping ploy to rob a devoted husband of his true love, while playing a game that prolongs her safety by correctly responding to riddles, which if to replied incorrectly, will surely result in fatal consequences.

The Movie, American Sunset, produced by Global Universal Pictures, in cooperation with Global Entertainment Holdings, is NOW AVAILABLE in DVD and Blu-Ray formats on the film’s Official website:
www.AmericanSunsetTheMovie.com, as well as the Company’s Tribure to Corey Haim website: www.CoreyHaimRemembered.com.

Global Entertainment Holdings recently announced that it has retained Level 4 Stonehenge Development Partners to implement its new technology, an advanced streaming technology for video distribution, called AppFlik™, that will offer American Sunset for download on Apple’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) iTunes App Store. The Company expects that American Sunset will be one of the first of many films that it will bring to the world using this state-of-the-art technology.

“I’m truly grateful to all the executives over at Global Universal and I just hope that American Sunset continues to be successful and people buy the DVD, and support the movie. We had a crew of roughly 60 people on American Sunset, and the film is a testament to the talent and hard work of the crew, which are all deserving of paramount recognition. I anticipate that the film will continue to do very well for us all.” Stated Masucci.
Michael Masucci has several Film and TV projects in development, slated for 2011.

American Sunset DVD also includes in the Bonus features, – The Behind the scenes making of American Sunset, the theatrical trailer, and a musical tribute to the cast and crew. You can find it at www.globaluniversal.com.

Global Entertainment Holdings Implements New Embedded Application Technology For Movie Distribution

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Los Angeles, CA – November 10, 2010 – Global Entertainment Holdings (OTCBB: GBHL) announced today that its sales and distribution subsidiary, Global Universal Film Group, is implementing the latest video distribution technology, called AppFlik™. The application differs from current streaming resources in that it functions as a securely embedded movie to prevent piracy. The movie is loaded into an application with free social networking capabilities that interact with viewers worldwide. Security against theft is greatly enhanced, there are no streaming or buffering issues, and the delivery is a hi-resolution viewing experience.

According to Gary Rasmussen, CEO of Global Entertainment Holdings, “The digital distribution of movies is highly efficient, cost effective and profitable. This new delivery technology is fantastic – our films will now be available to our customers any place, at any time, with no packaging, no shipping or logistics to worry about. Plus, the security features of AppFlik™ provide safe electronic distribution of our movies.”

Global Entertainment has contracted Level4 Stonehenge Development Partners to embed and market its movies for these downloadable applications. Our first AppFlik™ movie is “American Sunset”, featuring the late Corey Haim (www.AmericanSunsetTheMovie.com), which is expected to be available for sale on Apple’s iTunes app store before year’s end. The AppFlik™ is being featured initially on iTunes since the very successful iPhone and iPad are currently the viewing screens of choice. However, with the introduction of other platforms (i.e. Google TV, Apple’s iTv, Sprint’s EVO 4g and DroidX), the sky is the limit for this form of digital distribution.

‘Plaster Rock: Terror on the Tobique’

With an all New Brunswick cast and crew, Plaster Rock: Terror on the Tobique was filmed in the rural community of Riley Brook. The thriller-horror begins with a test of athletics that turns into a quest for survival. Director Jackie Giroux caught wind of a murder story in the area in the 1930s and Plaster Rock became her next project. While four former female and male athletes are set to participate in a wilderness cross-country skiing contest, set in a remote location only accessible by boat, they quickly realize there’s more than $250,000 on the line. It’s their lives. The quest to survive includes a solid cast of New Brunswick actors, including: Jessica Holt, Christine Johnson, Eric Leffler, Michael Mascucci, Frank Molina, Jason Nicholson, Lalesha Railsback, Kelsey Wilson and Peter Loughran.
